 SAS-PCR Pathogenic Microorganisms Air Sampler |
The SAS-PCR air sampler has been specifically developed, patented and built to collect pathogenic microorganisms dispersed in bioaerosol for “almost in real time” detection by molecular biology tests or traditional microbiological culture tests. Air and sterile collecting fluid flow together through a nozzle and are poured into a vessel with a coil. The liquid is circulated continuously to prolong the contact time between bioaerosol and collecting liquid.

The portable SAS-PCR air sampler can be used:
- to collect microorganisms for the “almost in real time” detection by molecular biology tests with genetic probes
- to collect endotoxins dispersed in the air by fluorescence polarisation
- to collect live microorganisms for traditional growth on agar
The SAS-PCR is the ideal choice for monitoring the presence in the air of pathogenic microorganisms on the battlefield, in case of suspected terrorism, in the microbiological laboratory Level 3, in vaccine production areas, and in waste water treatment plants.
